When I first found out I was a celiac (as an adult) I lost my joy for baking for a few years. I had to basically relearn how to bake before I could experiment and be creative again. I am finally back and excited to experiment with colors and flavors again. Last year I focused on natural colors and herbal flavors and these are some of my favorites.
- Longest Night Cookies
- Raspberry Rose Moons
- Orange, Rosemary, Tahini & Honey Cookies
- Winter Walk Gingerbread
- Nettle Rosehip Thumbprints
Um….recipies for these cookies?
They are all linked below the image!
Oh, gosh— I came here for the Solstice recipes but your commentary about losing your joy in baking after CD diagnosis spoke to my soul. There is such a grief in initially feeling that one has lost access to the coziest of culinary processes! I grieved for well over a year. And then the new learning process can be so unfun and studded with (expensive!) disappointing results… So glad you stuck with it. And thank you for sharing these fruits of your labors☀️
Thank you- it is a grieving process isn’t it? It sounds silly, but it really is.
Hello, thanks for creating the countdown calendar. Pictures are so cute!
These recipes look amazing. However, 2 of the links are not working: “Raspberry Rose Moons” & “Nettle Rosehip Thumbprints”
Should be fixed now- don’t know what happened!
Lovely! I’m enjoying the countdown to Soltice so much. Thank you
Nettle Rosehip Thumbprints link is still not working.
That one is in the publication that the link takes you to, The rest are on the blog.
